The Sammamish Plateau Water District (District) is complying with passage of Washington State House Bill 1329. 

The bill forbids water providers from disconnecting customers for lack of payment during heat-related alerts issued by the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS). 

The bill also permits residential customers whose water service has been disconnected for lack of payment to request a temporary reconnection during the period in which a heat-related alert is in effect.
